Multiple Sclerosis isn't a very common disease that's publicly recognized by celebrities. Most people don't even know about this disease, and yet there are celebrities out there that have been diagnosed with it.

To contrary belief there are close to 2.3 million people around the world that have been diagnosed with MS. Most of which are not celebrities, however there are quite a few figureheads that have been public about their diagnosis. Even Famous People Get Multiple Sclerosis, written by Regina Boyle Wheeler, looks into what celebrities have MS. MS is an incurable disease, therefore celebrities who have been diagnosed with it have tried to keep it to themselves as long as possible in fear of the effect it can have on their careers. Selma Blair, an actress, who was diagnosed at 46 with MS shared this comment, "By the grace of the lord, and willpower, and the understanding producers at Netflix, I have a job. A wonderful job. I am disabled. I fall sometimes. I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken gps. But we are doing it”. Blair being one of the more popular public faces with MS uses her platform to speak out and raise awareness for this autoimmune disease.
